Heinz Glaser (born April 3, 1926 in Beierfeld ; † unknown) was a German soccer player who from 1951 to 1957 for the BSG Wismut Aue and the SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt in the GDR Oberliga , the highest soccer class in the GDR -Football , was active. He was twice GDR champion and 1955 GDR Cup winner.

Athletic career

Glaser played his first competitive games in Aue in 1949/50 with the company sports association (BSG) Pneumatik Aue, the predecessor of the later BSG Wismut Aue in the then second-class state class Saxony. In the 22 point games he was used four times and scored three goals. With second place, Aue qualified for the first season of the newly introduced second-rate GDR league . This was played in two seasons in 1950/51, each with 18 point games, and with 17 missions Glaser developed into a regular player in the defense of the Wismut team. This was the season winner and rose to the GDR league.

In his first league season in 1951/52, Glaser was called up 35 times in the 36 point games played and regularly played on the right side of the defense. He was only used once as a striker. On the 33rd matchday in the encounter between Wismut Aue and Motor Dessau , he played center forward and scored his first goal to make it 3-1. 1952/53 he could only be used in the last nine games of the season, but was also in the playoff for the GDR championship against Dynamo Dresden . In the 2: 3 defeat after extra time, Glaser was called up as a central defender. For the season 1953/54 he was able to participate again from the beginning, played variably in all defense positions and missed only one game of the 28 league games. As a right defender, Glaser was set in 1954/55 and was also only absent from a point game. In this position he also played in the final of the GDR soccer cup, which his team won 3-2 after extra time over SC Empor Rostock .

In November 1954, the soccer section of the BSG Wismut Aue was affiliated with the newly founded SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt, but continued to play its home games in Aue. From August to December 1955, a transition round with 13 games was played in GDR football, in order to then adjust the seasons to the calendar year. Glaser played all 13 matches as well as all point games in the 1956 season. Always on the right side of the defender, he won his second title in 1956 by winning the championship. He won his second championship a year later, but could only complete five point games. Already on April 28, 1957, Glaser played his last league game in the match between SC Wismut and Turbine Erfurt . So he was 141 times in the league, but came as a defender only to two championship goals.
