Heinz Malorny

Heinz Malorny (* 1932 in Steinau (Oder) ) is a German Marxist-Leninist historian of philosophy .

Life

Malorny studied philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1957 to 1975 he was a research assistant and senior assistant at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and received his doctorate in 1967 with a thesis on the philosopher Wilhelm Dilthey . From 1975 to 1991 he was a research assistant at the Central Institute for Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR and completed his habilitation in 1979 with a thesis on the history of Marxist-Leninist philosophy during the Nazi dictatorship . He was given early retirement in 1992 and retired in 1995.

Malorny's research topics were the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche , whom he characterized as the “intellectual pioneer of fascism ”, problems of humanism , anti-humanism and the relationship between philosophy and politics .
