Heinz Nink

Heinz Nink (born March 11, 1931 ) is a German table tennis player . He became German team champion in 1961 with Borussia Düsseldorf .

Career

Heinz Nink played his entire career for one club, Borussia Düsseldorf. His backhand attack was very strong. Several times he took part in German championships. He celebrated his first major success in 1956 in mixed with Helene Klonisch , when the duo became German runners-up. In 1958, Nink and Klonisch repeated this coup and came second again.

He received the greatest attention in May 1961 when the men's team from Borussia Düsseldorf became German champions for the first time. At 8: 8 in the final against TTC Mörfelden , Düsseldorf won thanks to the better 19:18 set ratio. Heinz Nink was the only player to win all four games in this final, two in singles (against Horst Hiebsch and Hubert Nock) and two in doubles (with Walter Hafner ) and thus contributed significantly to winning the championship.

Heinz Nink has a daughter and a son, with whom he earned his living as a painter.
