Heinz Paula

Heinz Paula (born April 24, 1951 in Burgheim ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the German Bundestag from 2002 to 2013 .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1972, Paula studied to become a teacher at elementary and secondary schools by 1975 and then worked as a teacher , most recently at the Goethe secondary school in Augsburg .

Heinz Paula is married.

Political party

Paula joined the SPD in 1975 and was chairman of the SPD sub-district of Augsburg from 1999 to 2010. Since 2000 he has also been deputy chairman of the SPD district of Swabia .

MP

From 1990 to 2003 Paula was a member of the Augsburg city council.

From 2002 to 2013 he was a member of the German Bundestag . Since 2005 he has been deputy chairman of the German- Slovenian parliamentary group and since 2009 animal welfare officer of the SPD parliamentary group.

In addition, he is chairman of the Alliance for Human Dignity Augsburg-Schwaben eV and the Lech Protection Association. Heinz Paula has always entered the Bundestag via the Bavarian State List . His constituency was Augsburg city .
