Heinrich Alfons "Heinz" Seesing (born October 28, 1937 ) is a former German organizer .

Heinz Seesing grew up in a property on the Bischofsmühle in Coesfeld as one of seven siblings. He did a commercial apprenticeship and then worked for 30 years in the event organization of the Bremen City Hall , most recently as managing director . In Bremen in 1965 he enlivened the six-day race there, which today is the only one that still exists alongside the Berlin one

In 1995 Seesing, actually already retired, went to Berlin to relive the six-day race , which was last held in 1990 in the Deutschlandhalle , in the new Velodrom . Until 2013, Heinz Seesing was managing director of the Berliner Sechstagerennen GmbH and head of this event in the Berlin Velodrom. For decades he was involved in the Association of German Cycle Race Organizers (VDR), of which he was also President and was appointed Honorary President, as well as in the international organizing community Union Internationale des Vélodromes for six-day races . In 2013, for reasons of age, he sold his shares in the GmbH to his long-time partner Reiner Schnorfeil, who in turn sold the company two years later to the British Madison Sports Group .

Seesing lives with his wife on his property at the Bischofsmühle. In 1984 the mill was listed and Seesing had the historic building extensively restored over the years.

In 2007, Heinz Seesing was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . In 2013 he was honored with the gold pin of honor by the Association of German Cyclists .
