Heinz bung bottle
Heinz bung bottle (born December 4, 1919 in Altona , † November 6, 1972 in Hamburg-Altona) was a German football player.
Career
societies
Bung bottle played as a half-striker and later as an outside runner, initially with Hamburger SV , with whom he was Nordmark Gaumeister six times between 1937 and 1952 and twice champion of the British occupation zone after the end of the war . For HSV he scored 35 goals in 127 league games.
In 1952, the now 32-year-old moved for an unofficial transfer fee of 8,000 DM to the traditional club Altona 93 , for which he played another 142 league games until 1958, scoring 42 goals. There he played u. a. with Werner Erb and Dieter Seeler , the older son of his long-time HSV teammate Erwin Seeler . From 1957 to 1960, bung bottle was also the trainer of the Altona Black-White-Reds.
Selection team
The game designer, who has always been praised as a fair sportsman, has also been appointed to the North German team many times and is considered one of the greatest North German football personalities of all time. The fact that he did not come to international missions is attributed to the fact that his great time fell during the war and the subsequent forced abstinence of the DFB national team until 1950 . In addition, his position there was "blocked" by Fritz Walter .
Others
After four more years of coaching at VfB Lübeck , Heinz Spundzeile retired from football in 1964 and from then on took care of his cigar shop in Ottensens Bahrenfelder Straße, which he had acquired in 1950 and which still bears his name today. Heinz bung bottle died in 1972 of kidney disease. His final resting place is in the old Ottensener cemetery on Holstenkamp.
