Heinz Sundt

Heinz Sundt (born October 13, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager. From 2000 to 2006 he was head of Telekom Austria AG.

Life

Heinz Sundt studied in Vienna at the University for World Trade . He began his professional career in 1967 at Österreichische Länderbank . From 1969 to 1986, Heinz Sundt worked in marketing at IBM . From 1986 he was employed in the area of ​​telecommunications and network services. In 1989 Sundt moved to Neupack GmbH, a subsidiary of the packaging group Mayr-Melnhof Karton, as Marketing and Sales Manager .

From 1996 to 2000, Heinz Sundt was head of Mobilkom Austria AG, the mobile communications division of Telekom Austria AG. In April 2000, Sundt was elected by the shareholders as CEO and General Director of Telekom Austria. His contract provided for a term of seven years; however, Sundt resigned in the spring of 2006 after long arguments about himself. His successor was Boris Nemšić .
