Heinz Teufel (gallery owner)

Heinz Teufel (born October 2, 1936 in Stuttgart ; † July 12, 2007 there ) was a German gallery owner for concrete art .

Life

In 1966 the trained shop window designer Heinz Teufel opened his first gallery in Koblenz . Several locations in Cologne followed by 1998 , then Bad Münstereifel -Mahlberg, Dresden , Stuttgart and Berlin . Until his retirement in 1998, Teufel was one of the most internationally renowned gallery owners for concrete art and was involved in building some of the most important institutional and private collections in this field. The artists he represented included Heijo Hangen , Max Bill , Camille Graeser , Adolf Fleischmann , Manfred Mohr , Aurélie Nemours , Jo Delahaut , Zdenek Sykora , Andreas Brandt (painter) , Horst Bartnig and others.

Heinz Teufel died on July 12, 2007 in Stuttgart.

The private collection of Heinz Teufel and Anette Teufel-Habbel has been incorporated into the holdings of the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and has been extensively presented there since October 2, 2009.
