Heinz Willsch

Heinz Willsch (born June 15, 1936 ) is a former German soccer player. For SC Motor Jena , he played in the 1961/62 season in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

At the age of 25, Heinz Willisch appeared for the first time in higher-class football when he played three games in the GDR major league for SC Motor Jena between September and October 1961. He was substituted on twice, only the encounter on the 21st match day between SC Chemie Halle and SC Motor Jena (1: 1), Willsch completed 90 minutes as a right defender. In the 1961/62 European Cup Winners' Cup , Willsch was used by SC Motor in a game in the round of 16. In the second leg against the Luxembourg representative Alliance Dudelange he was called up after the 7-0 first leg win in the 2-2 ending game instead of the regular right-back Hans-Joachim Otto . In the same season, Willsch also played a game in the FDGB Cup 1961/62 . In the quarter-finals against Vorwärts Cottbus , he also played on the right defender in a 2-0 win.

At the beginning of the 1962/63 season, Willsch moved within Jena to the fourth-class district league team in the company sports community (BSG) chemistry . There he was district champion in his first season, but the team missed promotion to the second-rate GDR league in relegation . This was only achieved in the 1965/66 season. In the GDR league season 1966/67 Heinz Willsch belonged to the player base and played 22 of the 30 league games played. The BSG Chemie turned out to be unsuitable for the second division and had to be relegated again. Willsch then did not return to national gaming operations.
