The CHP Kirchdorf is a biomass - CHP in Kirchdorf Haunpold with a firing capacity of about 10 MW, from the in cogeneration 1.5 MW of electrical power and 6.7 MW heat output are obtained approximately. The heat is used to dry green fodder , corn and firewood .
What is particularly unusual about the system is that the cycle process is designed as an ORC process with thermal oil instead of a water-steam cycle (manufacturer: Adoratec ).
