Andreas Hejj

Andreas Hejj (born April 12, 1956 in Zirc , Hungary ) is a Hungarian / German psychologist.

Life

From 1976 to 1977 he studied linguistics at the University of Szeged and continued his studies in 1977 and 1978 at the Ruhr University in Bochum . He studied psychology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) from 1979 to 1984, which he completed as a qualified psychologist (diploma thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Psychological Research on the development of cognitive structures). He achieved his habilitation in 1993 at the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the LMU with the habilitation thesis: "Challenges of early adulthood: Empirical studies on gender-specific cognitions of work, partnership and nation" . The main research areas included political psychology , developmental psychology in a cultural comparison and evolutionary psychological aspects of partner choice . Hejj is currently teaching at the University of Pécs .
