Helen Barnes (* 5. July 1895 in Shelton , † 1. June 1925 in Woodmont , Connecticut ) was an American Musical - actress and dancer .

From 1915 to 1919 she was a dancer with the Ziegfeld Follies on Broadway . In 1915 Barnes played Lotta Nichols in the musical “Stop! Look! Listen! ”At the Globe Theater . The New York Times wrote on May 14, 1918 about the performance of the musical "The Squab Farm" that Helen Barnes was the darling of the audience. Helen Barnes played Hortense Hogan at the Bijou Theater in the play .

Helen Barnes died at the age of 29, along with her partner John Griffin, in a car accident near Woodmont. Griffin had recently told friends that he and Helen wanted to get married.
