Helen Fisher (* 31 May 1945 ) is an American anthropologist and ethnologist .

Live and act

Since graduating from the University of Colorado in 1975 with her Ph.D. in "Physical Anthropology", Helen Fisher is characterized by extensive scientific publication activity. In 1985 she received The Distinguished Service Award from the American Anthropological Association for her contribution to bringing anthropological issues to the general public. The New York Times Book Review named her 1992 book Anatomy of Love as the "Notable Book of 1992". Seven years later, she received this award again for The First Sex .

Helen Fisher is a research professor at Rutgers University in New Brunswick , New Jersey , and is a member of the Center for Human Evolutionary Studies. She is considered to be one of the most prominent representatives of her specialist field worldwide. In its February 28, 2005 issue, SPIEGEL described her as "one of the world's most famous love experts".
