Helen Liebendörfer
Helen Liebendörfer (* 1943 in Riehen ) is a Swiss author, adult educator and exhibition organizer.
Liebendörfer is a lecturer at the adult education center in Basel . She published several thematic guides through the city of Basel and historical novels about Wibrandis Rosenblatt , Angela Böcklin-Pascucci, the wife of Arnold Böcklin , the pharmacist and diplomat Henman Offenburg , Johann August Sutter , the «Emperor of California», and Marie Hesse , the mother of Hermann Hesse .
In 2008 she received an honorary doctorate from the University of Basel for conveying the socio-cultural characteristics of the city of Basel on her tours.
She has been married to the music teacher and conductor Frieder Liebendörfer since 1963 and has three grown children.
