Helen Springs , also called Helen Springs Station , is a cattle ranch in the Northern Territory , Australia . It has an area of 10,198 square kilometers for up to 55,000 cattle, making it the sixteenth largest in Australia.
In 1928, during the rainy season, there was severe flooding in the farm area, which washed away several fences and trees.
In 1944 the farm was bought by the Vestey Group , an English holding of food companies. Since 2004 the farm has belonged to the company S. Kidman and Co , which has the largest land ownership in Australia with 124,000 square kilometers and belongs to the Cattle King Sidney Kidman .
