Helena Pickard
Helena Pickard (born October 13, 1900 in Hansworth , Sheffield , South Yorkshire , † September 27, 1959 in Checkendon Court , Oxfordshire ) was a British actress .
Life
Helena Pickard made her film debut in the 1924 released silent film comedy The Clicking Of Cuthbert by Andrew P. Wilson based on a short story by PG Wodehouse . In 1928 she married the actor and director Cedric Hardwicke , from this marriage comes their son, the actor Edward Hardwicke . The marriage ended in divorce in 1950 and Pickard remarried.
Called "Pixie" since her appearance in Limelight , she appeared in several major film productions between 1924 and 1956, and from 1950 also on television. She also had performances at the theater. Her last film was Doublecross in 1956.
