Helfmirgott is the name of the remains of a tower on a rock ledge in the South Tyrolean Münstertal in the area of the municipality of Taufers . In the immediate vicinity are the ruins of the castles Reichenberg and Rotund , which he was part of fortifying .

Neither the builder of the tower nor the time it was built is known. However, Helfmirgott was always given as a fiefdom together with the slightly higher Rotund Castle . Only small traces of the square tower can be seen today, as it collapsed after the First World War . According to legend, its name comes from a woman who tried to save herself from a violent criminal by jumping from the tower. She is said to have shouted “Help me God!” And survived the fall completely unscathed. In reality, however, the name results from the use of the tower as a prison.
