Helga Engelke

Helga Engelke (born November 17, 1925 - February 1, 2014 ) was a German table tennis player . In 1957 she was German runner-up in doubles.

Career

The TTC Helga Hannover association bears the first name of Helga Engelke because she was the first woman to join the association after it was founded in 1947.

In 1957 Helga Engelke was second in singles and doubles (with Schröder) at the state championships of Lower Saxony. In the same year she took part in the national German championships . In the individual, she reached the second round, where she failed against Eva Graf from Saarland . In doubles with Ilse Lantermann , she reached the final, in which Hannelore Schlaf / Ursel Fiedler prevailed.

Helga Engelke earned her living as a financial accountant.
