Helge Kuprella (born October 17, 1970 in Leverkusen ) is a former German basketball player . Kuprella was in the squad of the German champions Bayer Leverkusen in 1992. Kuprella later worked for a drinking water supply company from Gelsenkirchen .

Kuprella started his career in the 2nd Bundesliga Group North at Schalke 04, for whose predecessor club ASC Gelsenkirchen his father Dieter Kuprella , Olympic participant in 1972 and multiple German champion in basketball with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, had already played. He then went to the German champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 1991 like his father , but he was unable to assert himself in their team, which was peppered with national players. After a season in the basketball Bundesliga in 1992/93 with the newly promoted team from Derne , who was immediately relegated, he moved back to the Rhine and played for the second division team from Rhöndorf , with whom he rose to the first basketball league in 1995 . In 1999 the first division license was sold to the new club Skyliners Frankfurt . Kuprella, however, remained loyal to the Rhöndorfer until 2002, who continued to play in the second division. At this club he is listed as the player with the most appearances for the first team. From 2002 to 2004 he played again in the Ruhr area for two seasons in the second division for the ETB SW in Essen .

In 2002, Kuprella married the former athlete and later radio and television presenter Anke Feller .
