Heligoland -

Heligoland is the fifth studio album by the British music band Massive Attack . The title refers to the German island of Heligoland (English: Heligoland ). The album contains ten tracks and was released in 2010, seven years after Massive Attack's last studio album. The first four pieces, however, come from the in-house production Splitting the Atom , released in 2009 . The piece Paradise Circus was released as a single. It reached the 41st place in the Swiss singles charts. In the album charts, Heligoland reached fourth place in Germany. In England the album reached gold status and sixth place on the album charts.

As with the previous album 100th Window , Robert Del Naja , founding member of Massive Attack, and producer Neil Davidge are responsible for Heligoland. Former band member Grantley Marshall also worked on the production after he left the band during the making of 100th Window.

Numerous guest musicians have gathered on Heligoland, including Horace Andy , Blur singer Damon Albarn , Guy Garvey , Martina Topley-Bird and Hope Sandoval .
