The Helipuerto de Tírvia is a helipad north of the small town of Tírvia in the Comarca Pallars Sobirà in the province of Lleida in the autonomous community of Catalonia ( Spain ).
The square was built at the end of 1986 and officially opened in 1990. It is operated by the Generalitat de Catalunya and is the base of the rescue helicopters, especially in the winter season for the six designated ski areas in the Pallars Sobirà region and in the summer months the base of the fire fighting helicopters of the Bomberos de la Generalidat de Cataluña .
The fenced-in airfield with an area of around 8,000 m² includes a concreted helipad with a 24 × 24 meter landing and take-off area, which is connected via a taxiway to the 400 m² hangar , the gas station with the 15,000 liter JET-A1 tank and the crew accommodation building .
The helipad is equipped with a helicopter approach path indicator , the system is used for night approaches. The tower frequency is 129.825 MHz.
