Hella Tornegg
Hella Tornegg , née Hella Rieffel (born December 31, 1878 in Berlin , † after 1944) was a German actress and singer .
Life
Born in Hella Rieffel, she trained as an actress and singer and has been on stage since 1900. At a young age she appeared as Hella Thornegg, only later did she remove the "h" from her surname. Frankfurt / Oder is one of her early stage stops in the provinces. Even before the First World War , the freelance artist performed at Berlin venues (e.g. the Luisen Theater). Even in later years she only found engagements at smaller, less important theaters in the capital, such as the Volkstheater Neue Welt and the Plaza Theater.
She came to the film in the middle of the First World War. From the beginning she played simple common women, wives and mothers. She was particularly active in the years 1916 to 1920 and again since the beginning of the sound film era. There the aging artist consistently embodied batches of all kinds until the end. At the end of the war in 1945, Hella Tornegg disappeared from the public eye, possibly she died a little later.
