The Hells Gate Moraine ( English for hell tormorain ) is a moraine on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It extends from Vegetation Island and Cape Confusion in a south-westerly direction to Hells Gate .
The northern group of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by Victor Campbell under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott named it based on the name of the Hells Gate.
