Friedrich von Klinckowström

Count Friedrich Heinrich Wilhelm Alexander von Klinckowström (born November 16, 1775 in Bartenstein , † November 9, 1856 in Sehmen ) was a German landowner and politician.

Life

Friedrich von Klinckowström was born the seventh son of Lieutenant General Karl Friedrich von Klinckowström and his wife Luise (1756–1789) a daughter of the Prussian Budget Minister Friedrich Alexander Freiherr von Korff . His siblings were:

  • Karl Friedrich Ludwig (1780–1844), Herr auf Korcklack-Assaunen, married to Luise Ernestine (1776–1829), daughter of Hans von Blumenthal
  • Karl Ludwig (1785–1788)
  • Juliane Christine (1788–1798)
  • Cecilie Karoline Henriette (1793–1797) (from his father's second marriage to Henriette Theresie Amalie Frederike von Hausen (1775–1848), the only daughter of General Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich von Hausen ).

He joined the 1st Leib-Hussar Regiment No. 1 in 1790 and fought under Major General Friedrich Eberhard Siegmund Günther von Goeckingk during the Kościuszko uprising on July 10, 1794 in Raigrod . Subsequently he was involved in the negotiations with the Russian general Levin August von Bennigsen . After the end of the campaign, he attended the École Militaire in Königsberg ; In 1799 he took his leave.

He took over the rule of Dumbeln in New East Prussia , which King Friedrich Wilhelm II had given his father . When this part of the country came to the Duchy of Warsaw in 1807 , half of these goods were lost. After the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the area came under the government of Congress Poland , so that in 1816 he also sold the remaining goods in order to be able to return to Prussia. There he acquired the Sehm estates with Hohefeld, Hohenberg and Bammeln in the Friedland district .

He was a member of the provincial parliaments and synods as well as the district council. In 1848 he joined a Prussian association .

Friedrich von Klinckowström's first marriage was Countess Henriette Friederike (1777–1823), a daughter of Ernst Christoph von Eulenburg (1755–1796). They had four children together:

On November 12, 1834 he married Karoline (* 1792), b. from Knobloch.

Awards

The King Friedrich Wilhelm III. awarded him the Order of St. John in 1834 , making him a Knight of Honor of this order.
