Helma Schwarzmann

Helma Schwarzmann (* 1948 in Goslar ) is a German instructor, speaker and competition judge in vaulting . She was the first national coach of the German vaulters.

Career

Helma Schwarzmann is the daughter of the successful German apparatus gymnast Alfred Schwarzmann , who won a total of six medals at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 and in Helsinki in 1952 . She began vaulting in 1958 in the team of the Goslar riding community , with which she became German champion twice . In 1961 Schwarzmann traveled to the USA with the Goslar vaulting group to perform at the Washington International Horse Show . Her active career as a vaulting woman ended with the age limit valid at the time.

In 1978 Schwarzmann passed the exam to become a vaulting judge. In this function, she has since worked at numerous tournaments, including German championships as well as European and world championships . In 2006 she was chief judge at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen.

In 1991, Schwarzmann took over the office of national coach, which she held until 2002. Individual vaulters and teams won numerous championship medals during their training.

Helma Schwarzmann lives in Goslar.
