Helmjasiw ( Ukrainian Гельмязів ; Russian Гельмязов Gelmjasow ) is a village in the northeast of the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with about 5000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1613, forms an independent district council in the Zolotonosha district and is located on the bank of the Supij (Ukrainian Супій ), a 130-kilometer-long left tributary of the Dnieper .
Helmyaziv is located 28 km northwest of the Rajon center Zolotonosha and 62 km northwest of the Oblast center Cherkassy . The N 08 road runs west of the village .
