The Supij ( Ukrainian Супій ; Russian Супой Supoi ) is a left tributary of the Dnieper in Ukraine .
It has a length of 144 km, a catchment area of 2160 km² and a gradient of 0.35 m / km.
The Supij springs from a sump at the village Swydowez ( Свидовець ) in Rayon Bobrovytsia in the oblast Tschernihiw that flows through Dnieper Lowland in the Oblast and opening not far from the village Matwijiwka ( Матвіївка ) in Rayon Zolotonosha the oblast Cherkassy in the kremenchuk reservoir accumulated Dnepr .
The largest tributary with a length of 42 km and a catchment area of 203 km² is the Kowraj ( Коврай ). Larger towns on the river are Jahotyn and Shuriwka . At Jahotyn the river to Lake Supij ( Озеро Супій ) is dammed.
21 different fish species live in the river.
