Helmolt (noble family)
Helmolt , also Helmold , is a German aristocratic family whose representative Carl Ludwig von Helmolt received a new diploma of recognition on May 4, 1824 in the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
The family first appeared in the Göttingen area , whose representative Heinrich Helmolt, a citizen of Göttingen, received an imperial letter of coat of arms on October 14, 1457. His grandson Georg settled in Thuringia . Most recently the family was wealthy there in Bilzingsleben and Kannawurf , among others .
