Helmut Baumert (born June 15, 1909 in Osnabrück , † November 3, 1980 in Tübingen ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and SA leader .

Live and act

After attending secondary school and the Ratsgymnasium in Osnabrück, Helmut Baumert learned the scientific book and antiquarian book trade in Osnabrück and Tübingen. From 1924 he was active in the Nazi movement. In 1926 he took on tasks in the Hitler Youth (HJ) and later as an SA man. In 1930 Baumert became head of the NSDAP local group in Tübingen, then from 1932 to 1937 district leader of the NSDAP district of Tübingen.

In 1933 Baumert acted as an adjutant in the district administration of Württemberg-Hohenzollern and since 1934 as district manager. There were also tasks as a district inspector and SA standard leader .

After trying in vain for a mandate in 1936, Baumert sat in the National Socialist Reichstag from April 1938 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945 as a representative of constituency 31 (Württemberg) . From 1941 Baumert was Gauamtsleiter and Gauinspector of the NSDAP. He was also the holder of the Golden Decoration of Honor of the NSDAP and the HJ.

After the Second World War , Baumert lived in Baden-Württemberg .
