Helmut Brückner (politician)

Helmut Brückner (born October 11, 1944 in Bayreuth ) is a German politician of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party .

Brückner studied economics and teaching at elementary schools and was a secondary school teacher from 1973. He was a member of the Education and Science Union , the GEW District Board of Bayreuth and the GEW District Board of Upper Franconia . He was also a member of the local staff council in Bayreuth-Stadt and was a board member in the district staff council of the government of Upper Franconia. From 1968 he was politically active in the peace movement, in anti-nuclear and ecological initiatives and associations.

In 1984 Brückner became a member of the Greens, where he was a member of the district board of the Upper Franconian Greens from 1986 to 1990. From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
