Rémy Cabella (born March 8, 1990 in Ajaccio ) is a French football player . The attacking midfielder is under contract with FK Krasnodar .

Career

In the club

Cabella, born in Corsica to a Corsican mother and an Italian father, comes from the youth department of HSC Montpellier , where he was part of the professional squad from the 2009/10 season . After he in his first season at no use in Ligue 1 came, he was for the 2010/11 season at AC Arles-Avignon awarded. There he came on December 4, 2010 for his first professional appearance in Ligue 1 when he was substituted on for the game against AS Nancy . For the 2011/12 season he returned to HSC Montpellier, with which he won the French championship in 2012. In July 2014, Newcastle United secured the Frenchman's service for six years from the 2014/15 season . After a year at Newcastle, he was loaned to Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2015 . A year later, Marseille withdrew the option to buy after Cabella's loan and thus committed him. From there he was awarded to AS Saint-Étienne in 2017 .

National team

Between 2010 and 2012, Cabella played 17 games for the French U-21 national team , scoring four goals. On May 27, 2014 Cabella made his debut in the A-team of the French national soccer team .
