Helmut Dietachmayr

Helmut Dietachmayr (born July 26, 1942 in Linz ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Dietachmayr was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1990 to 2002 .

education and profession

Dietachmayr attended from 1948 to 1956, the primary and secondary school and learned the trade of the port to 1959 Turner . He then worked as a lathe operator in VÖEST Linz until 1963 and did military service in 1963. From 1964 to 1972 he was employed as the youth secretary of the ÖGB Upper Austria, from 1972 to 1973 he attended the social academy of the chamber for workers and employees for Vienna in Mödling .

From 1972 to 1998 he was secretary and then department head in the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Upper Austria in Linz, and from 1994 to 1995 he took part in the management course for non-profit organizations at the University of Freiburg in Switzerland .

politics

Dietachmayr was active in the union as chairman of the youth representatives of VÖEST and as regional chairman of the Upper Austrian youth union. Since 1980 he has been a local councilor of Leonding , between 1982 and 1985 he was a city councilor and from 1985 to 1988 he was the third deputy mayor. In 1989 he was elected district party chairman of the SPÖ Linz-Land and from 1990 he was regional party chairman of the SPÖ Upper Austria. From 1987 Dietachmayr was also a member of the District School Council College Linz-Land .

Dietachmayr represented the SPÖ from November 5, 1990 to December 19, 2002 in the National Council, although he no longer stood as a candidate in the 2002 National Council election. Dietachmayr was the spokesman for the SPÖ parliamentary club.
