Helmut Loehr

Helmut Loehr (born May 19, 1935 in Frankfurt am Main ; † January 7, 2008 in Leverkusen ) was a German manager .

Life

Helmut Loehr studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn and from 1963 initially worked for a Düsseldorf law firm. In 1966 he became a member of the finance department of Bayer AG and in 1974 he became department director and head of finance.

In 1984 he became CEO of Agfa-Gevaert AG . From May 1986 until his retirement in 1997 he was CFO on the Board of Management of Bayer AG. Werner Wenning followed him .

Act

Loehr is considered to be one of the "defining personalities of the German stock market". As chairman of the board of the Deutsches Aktieninstitut and as a member of the stock exchange expert commission , he has "made a significant contribution to the development of the financial center Germany and the stock culture in this country".

Among other things, he was a member of the Association of Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU) and from 1987 to 1993 in the BKU federal executive committee. Among other things, he was committed to establishing contacts with the international association of Christian employers' associations (UNIAPAC) and in the Archdiocese of Cologne for the dialogue between the BKU and the other Catholic social associations.
