Helmut Pohle

Helmut Pohle (born April 6, 1925 in Dürrenberg ; † February 20, 1994 in Merseburg ) was a German economist.

Life

Pohle graduated from high school in Halle (Saale) in 1943 and served in the Air Force in North Africa during World War II , where he contracted malaria. As a US prisoner of war, he came to Tennessee in 1944 . In 1946 he was released from captivity.

He then studied at the Technical University of Leuna-Merseburg (THLM) and did his doctorate on the subject of economic accounting under the aspect of self-management as a means of managing an association of state-owned companies .

From 1968 Pohle worked as general director of VVB Elektrochemie und Plastics in Halle / S. Günter Mittag , responsible for GDR economic issues , appointed him from 1970 to 1979 as deputy minister for the chemical industry.

After 1979, Pohle was a guest lecturer in economics in the Soviet Union at what was then the Moscow Higher Technical School (MHTS). In 1980, Pohle received an honorary doctorate from MHTS.

From 1975 Pohle modified, together with Klaus G. Kruse, part of the military close combat for special forces of the Group of the Soviet Armed Forces in Germany (GSSD) and published this fighting style from 1991 as "Taikunedo" and in 1992 registered this term as an international trademark. In 1993 he handed over the chairmanship of the martial arts association to his nephew Steffen Pohle.

Pohle was awarded the Bronze Patriotic Order of Merit in 1975 .

From 1981 Pohle worked as a professor at what was then the “Carl Schorlemmer” Technical University in Merseburg until his retirement in 1989. He has written several scientific publications on the subject of the strategic preparation and implementation of complex automation as part of the process of renewing the combine in 1988 .

Pohle died on February 20, 1994 at the age of 68 after a protracted cancer in Merseburg.
