Helmut Reiser

Helmut Reiser (born September 9, 1942 in Würzburg ) is a German pedagogue and former professor at the University of Hanover for special education .

Life

Helmut Reiser studied several teacher training courses and graduated with state exams for elementary schools, secondary schools, secondary schools and special schools, while he worked part-time in open youth work and home education. From 1966 to 1970 he was a teacher at a special school for behavioral disorders whose youth welfare and therapy department was headed by the psychoanalyst and professor Aloys Lebers . From 1970 he was research assistant to the Frankfurt university professor for social education and youth law Berthold Simonsohn . In 1972 he received his doctorate in Frankfurt, from 1973 he worked there as a professor. He later received a call to the Institute for Special Education at the University of Hanover. He taught there from 1996 to 2007.

Reiser was particularly concerned with pedagogy of behavioral disorders and educational assistance in schools. He also worked with the Topic-Centered Interaction (TCI) method .

Reiser lives in Wunstorf .
