Helmut Roscher (born November 24, 1917 in Döbeln ; † August 20, 1992 in Tübingen ) was SS-Oberscharführer as second report leader in Buchenwald concentration camp .

Roscher, a member of the SS , was deployed in Buchenwald concentration camp from March 1940 to October 1942. Initially, Roscher worked in Buchenwald as a command leader until April 1942, then as the second report leader and block leader .

After the end of the war, Roscher was indicted with 30 other accused in the Dachau trials in the main Buchenwald trial. Roscher was accused of ill-treating Allied prisoners. On August 14, 1947, Roscher was sentenced to death by hanging . The sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment. Roscher was probably released from the Landsberg War Crimes Prison by the mid-1950s and died in Tübingen in August 1992.
