Helmut Schlöske

Helmut Schlöske (born June 27, 1904 in Berlin , † October 15, 1944 in Ferch , Brandenburg ) was a German long jumper who was active in the late 1920s. He was the older brother of the sprinter Hermann Schlöske .

In 1928 he achieved his personal best with 7.41 m and took part in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam with Rudolf Dobermann , Erich Köchermann and Willi Meier . There he could not call up this distance again. While Meier and Köchermann made it into the finals of the best six with jumps over 7.39 m and 7.35 m respectively, Helmut Schlöske did not even surpass the 7-meter mark and left only the fourth German participant Rudolf Dobermann with 6.99 m (6.91 m) behind. This put him in 15th place in the overall standings when the American Ed Hamm won .

At the German championships Helmut Schlöske could not place in the long jump. With the Charlottenburg 4 x 100 meter relay , however, he became German champion in 1927.

He started for SC Charlottenburg , was 1.82 m tall and weighed 71 kg as an active player.
