Helmut Schlauss

Helmut Schlauß (born April 14, 1931 ) is a former German soccer player. In 1952 he won the GDR soccer championship with the BSG Turbine Halle .

Athletic career

The short career of Helmut Schlauss in the top division of football in the GDR , the Oberliga , took place in the 1951/52 season, when he was involved in winning the GDR football championship of the company sports association (BSG) Turbine Halle with four point matches . He was used in the second half of the season between February and April 1952 when the regular left winger Karl Gola could not be called up. In the summer of 1952, Schlauß moved to the University Sports Association (HSG) Wissenschaft Halle , whose football section was represented in the second-rate GDR league . In his first HSG season he was used in nine league games and scored two goals. He also became a GDR student master with the HSG. During the 1953/54 season, Schlauß played ten league games in the GDR league and this time scored three goals. Then he ended his career in higher class football.
