Helmut Stegemann

Helmut Stegemann (* around 1892; † February 26, 1929 , full name: Hellmuth von Stegemann and Stein , also deviating: von Stegmann ) was a German architect .

Life

From 1922 Helmut Stegemann was construction director of Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG , later of Vereinigte Stahlwerke AG . In this role he created numerous remarkable mining facilities; In the 1920s, alongside Fritz Schupp ( Schupp und Kremmer ), he pioneered the transition to functionalism in the mining architecture of the Ruhr area.
