Helmut Vollprecht (born November 24, 1941 in Oybin ) is a former German luge athlete .

Helmut Vollprecht from SC Traktor Oberwiesenthal and his partner Walter Eggert took part in the first two-seater luge competitions at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck and finished fourth after the double was third after the first of two runs , but had to admit defeat to the Italians Walter Außenendorfer and Sigisfredo Mair in the overall standings . In 1964 and 1965, the double Vollprecht / Eggert also won the silver medal at the GDR championships behind Klaus Bonsack and Thomas Köhler and ahead of Wolfgang Scheidel and Michael Köhler .
