Helmuth Fetz

Helmuth Fetz (* 1928 ; † September 18, 2010 in Ried im Innkreis ) was an Austrian landscape and portrait painter .

Live and act

After completing an apprenticeship as a painter and house painter, he developed into one of the most famous and successful visual artists in Vorarlberg. In 1964 he was a founding member of the Bregenz Circle and ran a gallery first in Vienna and then in Bregenz . In 1988 he was accepted into the Innviertel Artists Guild and since 1989 he has lived in Mehrnbach in the Innviertel . He became known for his views of cities on Lake Constance and the Innviertel as well as for his portraits of Vorarlberg and Innviertel personalities. He is considered a representative of fantastic realism.
