program

The opening took place on November 3, 2006, among others, by the North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister Jürgen Rüttgers . At Help TV, the focus was on advice for viewers. The broadcaster's topics ranged from medicine to psychology, law, nutrition, finance and esoteric topics.

Help TV worked as follows: A studio guest answered questions from the audience by phone. The subject areas usually changed every hour. The viewers were able to reach the studio guest via a paid studio hotline and were then part of the Help TV program with their questions.

According to media reports, Help TV should be converted into the newly created “ Fliege TV ”. On January 2, 2008, however, the all-day operation of Help TV was stopped. Since then, only the program Flieges Welt has been produced (daily from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.), which was broadcast as a live stream via the Internet and by partner stations via satellite, but was also discontinued at the end of February 2008 due to a lack of viewer interest.

Consumer organizations accuse the broadcaster of using some viewers out of necessity. Often people from socially disadvantaged families sit in front of the television and make use of the paid media services. It is also criticized that the telephone charges of 0.50 euros are also charged if the caller did not get through. According to BILDBlog , however, it was a false report from the Bild newspaper .
