Helzingen ( Luxembourgish Helzen , French Hachiville ) is a village in the municipality of Wintger , canton of Clervaux in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Helzingen is located in the Ösling at an average altitude of 456 meters in the north-west of Luxembourg. Neighboring towns in the west are Buret, which already belongs to Belgium , district of Hohenfels ( Houffalize ) in the east Weiler and in the south Hoffelt . The CR 333a and the CR 333 run through the village.
General and history
Helzingen was an independent municipality until January 1, 1977, to which the localities Hoffelt, Weiler, Neumühle and Lehresmühle also belonged. The community was then dissolved and the new community of Wintger was formed from the former communities of Helzingen, Asselborn , Oberwampach and Bögen .
Worth the Catholic Church of St. Martin, one is hall church of Baroque dating back to 1775. The bell tower with its rather unusual for this region onion dome was not until 1926 in the style of neo-baroque grown.
