Hen Semi ( Japanese 変 ゼ ミ , Hen Zemi ) is a manga series written and drawn by the Japanese artist Tagro , which has been published in the Morning 2 magazine published by Kōdansha since the end of 2006 . The manga begins as an alternative retelling of the manga Hentai Seiri Seminar ( 変 態 生理 ゼ ミ ナ ー ル , ~ Zemināru , dt. "Seminar for abnormal physiology"), also written by Tagro, but goes its own way after a few chapters. The still ongoing manga was adapted by Xebec in 2010 as a three-part OVA and in 2011 as an anime television series.

action

The innocent student Nanako Matsutaka ( 松隆 奈 々 子 , Matsutaka Nanako ) decides to attend a seminar on abnormal physiology. However, it turns out to be very different from what she initially suspected. The seminar is led by the anything but normal-looking Professor Kenji Meshiya ( 飯 野 堅 治 , Meshiya Kenji ). However, it makes such an intimidating impression on her that she takes part anyway. In the long run, however, this is not the only reason for them to take part. Secretly, she falls in love with fellow student Komugi Musashi ( 武 蔵 小麦 , Musashi Komugi ), whom she met when she caught him stealing underwear. In contrast to her, however, he is not at all reserved and has no problem talking about perversions. In addition, he has various sexual deviances, e.g. B. including a Netorare fetish, olfactory fetishism and urophagia . This is directly confirmed in the relationship with his former girlfriend Miwako Mizukoshi ( 水 越 美 和 子 , Mizukoshi Miwako ), who can be described as completely perverted. She is available for everything and can be extremely enthusiastic about it. In the representations, this is expressed through constant drooling, just thinking about it. Komugi doesn't really care and would even like to watch her being seduced by another man. The seminar also includes the always absent, unworldly-looking Makiko Gregory ( 蒔 子 = グ レ ゴ リ ー , Makiko Guregorī ), who cannot decide between being a thug and a decent young woman, Anna Katō ( 加藤 あ ん な , Katō Anna ) and her two close friends Yesterday Taguchi ( 田 口 イ エ ス タ デ ィ , Taguchi Iesutadi ) and Hishiyatsu Ichikawa ( 市 河 菱 靖 , Ichikawa Hishiyatsu ).

The actual hooks for the plot are the experiments carried out by the students, the subjects of which they have to choose themselves. While the topics that have been painstakingly prepared by Nanako generally have no approval at all from Meshiya and are badly graded, the others mostly bring out very heavy artillery, in which even the ignorant - especially Nanako - are included as test subjects. For example, Komugi urinates in public to document his feelings, Miwako breeds fruit flies in her ears or Hishiyatsu records break-ins into the sleeping Nanako's room, with the participants throwing themselves into absurd poses in front of her and abusing their private property.

OVA

In the opening credits of the OVA, a short version of the title Mania e Kira Kira ( マ ニ ア エ キ ラ キ ラ , Eng. " Towards a sparkling mania") was used, which was written by Hitomi Mieno , composed and arranged by Nobuhiro Makino and by Kana Hanazawa under the name of her role was interpreted as Nanako. The text of the end title Hen Rin Sham - Hen da yo. Rinse no Ato ni Shampoo te ( 変 ・ リ ン ・ シ ャ ン 〜 変 だ よ。 リ ン ス ー の 後 に シ ャ ン プ ー て 〜 , Hen Rin Sham - Hen da yo. Rinsū no Ato ni Shampū te , dt. "It's strange." to shampoo ”) also comes from Hitomi Mieno. The composition and the arrangement are by Sumoyoshinaka and the singing by the Seiyū Kana Hanazawa, Minoru Shiraishi , Norihisa Mori and Takashi Matsuyama , who were performed as Hen Zemi no minasan . Both tracks appeared on August 4, 2010 on the single Mania e Kira Kira on King Records .
