Henads Uladsimerawitsch Hruschawy (* 1950 in Minsk , Soviet Union ; † January 28, 2014 ) was a Belarusian philosopher and politician .

Hruschawy was from 1973 professor of philosophy at the University of Minsk. He was a co-founder of the Belarusian National Front (BNF), which was considered a rallying movement of the Belarusian opposition during the perestroika era . From 1990 to 1995 he was a member of parliament. In 1989, Hruschawy founded the foundation The Children of Chernobyl and was its chairman until his death. In 1999 he received the Thorolf Rafto Memorial Prize .

Hruschawy was married to the civil rights activist Irina Gruschewaja , with whom he had a son and a daughter. He died in January 2014 after a long illness.
