Hendrik Dietz
Hendrik Dietz (born December 18, 1977 in Dresden ) is a German biophysicist .
Life
Dietz studied physics in Paderborn , Saragossa and at the LMU Munich . In 2004 he completed his studies with a diploma. He then became a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich . In 2007 he was with a work on the mechanical anisotropy of proteins in single-molecule experiments Dr. rer. nat. PhD. He then spent two years as a postdoc at Harvard University . Since summer 2009 he has been Professor of Biophysics at the Technical University of Munich.
Dietz's research focus is DNA nanotechnology . He researches how the structure of DNA can be used for technological purposes.
