Hendrik van Delden

Hendrik van Delden (born August 20, 1872 in Gronau (Westphalia) , † January 24, 1950 ) was a German cotton spinning and twisting owner.

Life

Hendrik van Delden was the son of the Gronau textile industrialist Gerrit van Delden . After graduating from secondary school in Osnabrück , he studied at the Technical University of Hanover and, like his father, became a member of the Corps Saxonia Hanover . He then went to England to train for the textile industry. He became a co-owner of Gerrit van Delden & Compagnie, a cotton spinning and twisting mill in Gronau.

In addition to managing his own company, van Delden was a member of the Gerling Group's supervisory board . He was a member of the board of the Association of Münsterland Textile Industrialists and a member of the cooperative board and representative of the 7th electoral district of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Textil-Berufsgenossenschaft . In 1938 he was elected President of the World Cotton Spinner Association.
