Henning Langhage

Henning Langhage (* 21st July 1943 in Hildesheim ) is a German cornet of the Hot Jazz .

Langhage was enthusiastic about jazz as a teenager . He first played the harmonica and then switched to the cornet. Between 1966 and 1984 he was a member of the Hot Rhythm Aces in Hanover. Since 1988 he has been part of the Dixie College Band from Hamm, but was also involved in an album with the Dixie Small Stars . Since the 1990s he has worked with Lutz Eikelmann & His Swingin 'New Orleans Music and accompanied international jazz greats such as Terry Lightfoot (1998/1999), Peter “Banjo” Meyer (1998/1999), Ian Wheeler (2000/2003) and others he with Lutzemann's Jatzkapelle (CD Ten Years Lutzemanns Jatzkapelle 1993-2003 ) and with The Street Party Brass Band ( CD Dickie Bishop Meets Lutz Eikelmann: No Other Baby ). He currently heads the Hot Jazz Society , with which he recorded the studio CD My Blue Heaven (2001) and a live CD at JazzAscona (2007).
