Henri François, comte de Ségur

Henri François, comte de Ségur ( June 1, 1689 - June 18, 1751 in Metz ), Baron de Romainville , Seigneur de Ponchat and Fougueyrolles , was a high-ranking French military man.

He was the son of Henri Joseph de Ségur and Claude Élisabeth Binet.

On September 13, 1718 he married at Maison Blanche Castle in Gagny Angélique de Froissy (1702–1785), natural (illegitimate) daughter of Philippe II. De Bourbon, duc d'Orléans , who officially recognized her four years later. In 1723 Henri François de Ségur bought the castle and the barony of Romainville.

Henri François Ségur was promoted to Maréchal de camp in 1734 and made governor of the County of Foix in 1737 . In 1738 he was appointed lieutenant-général . He was Inspector General of the Cavalry and Dragoons .

In the Austrian War of Succession he held a command of the troops.

On February 2, 1749 he was admitted to the Ordre du Saint-Esprit .

He died in Metz on June 18, 1751 .
