Henri "Bizzi" Klein (born April 14, 1944 in Oberkorn ; † September 7, 1995 in Esch an der Alzette ) was a Luxembourg soccer player .

Career

society

Klein began his career as a football player in his hometown at CS Oberkorn . From 1963 he played one season for Red Boys Differdange . In 1964 he went to Belgium to the Royal Football Club Liège , from where he moved to KVK Tirlemont in 1966 .

In 1968 he joined the Vancouver Royals in Canada, where he scored 20 goals in one season under coach Ferenc Puskás . After a year he returned to the Red Boys in Luxembourg in 1969 before moving on to FC Utrecht in 1970 . After two years in the Netherlands, he returned to the Red Boys, where he ended his career after the 1972/73 season.

National team

Between 1963 and 1969 he played 10 full internationals for Luxembourg , in which he scored four goals. Bizzi Klein was in the team that sensationally defeated the Netherlands 2-1 in the quarter-final second leg of the 1964 European Championship on October 30, 1963 at the De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam .
